CALENDAR/DEADLINES

Show dates July 29, 2011-August 28, 2011

Reception: Gallery Night July 29, 2011, 5pm-10pm. Food, cash bar, Music.

Also open Gallery day, 12-5pm

Work is Delivered to gallery for entry on July 2, July 7, 8. 2011, 1-5pm

Jurying is July 9. Artists not selected notified.

Help us Celebrate our 21st Anniversary Year! All participants are expected to attend the gallery night reception to meet with each other and greet visitors and celebrate our anniversary.

MEDIA: All fine arts including: printmaking, metal, photography, mixed media, painting, pastels, and sculpture, video, new media.

ELIGIBILITY: Open to all adult artists. (over 18yrs.)

ENTRY FEE: The entry fee is $21.00 in celebration of 21 years, for one entry. Make checks payable to WPAA, Inc.

All fees go to help this gallery to continue to exist and show emerging artists' work. No refunds.

Pick Up: The following weekend the show closes. (Please note: You will not be contacted.) Work left behind will be donated to a charity of our choice

-Jury: Final selections will be made by the director and current gallery artist members.

-Prizes: Prizes will be awarded. An award of a 6 month membership to the gallery (Valued at over $300) will be given.

Criteria: Work is limited to one entry. Size limit-No larger than 21" in any one direction and 3 pounds in weight.

All work MUST BE READY for Professional presentation.

This means that ALL 2d WORK MUST BE FRAMED with picture wire and ready for hanging. The wire must be 4 inches down from the top of the frame. Adjustable wire is preferred.

NO CLAW TYPE HANGERS OR CLIP FRAMES-they do not work with our walls, and your work fall to the floor.

*3D work must have a black or white pedestal and must be anchored down securely.

Attach your own typed ID label to back of work. Include your name and phone number, price, title.

Artists may not substitute work or change prices at any time after entering, nor alter the painting nor withdraw the work once it is accepted in the show.

All work is to be hand delivered and picked up.

AGREEMENT Submission of work implies acceptance of all conditions set forth. No refunds.

The artist's participation grants the WPAA/gallery 218 the right to use the image of the accepted work for publicity, educational and reference purposes. Copyright remains the property of the artist.

INSURANCE AND Sales: Works entered will not be insured during the exhibition. While professional and responsible care will be taken in the handling of all work, WPAA nor Gallery 218 nor its officers will assume any responsibility for any loss or any damage to any art work. Gallery 218 will assist in sales and take a 35 % commission (25% for members) on sales. The gallery offers a 90 day lay-away policy. Deposits are not refundable.

GALLERY 218 is committed to providing exhibition opportunities to area artists. Every artist who enters this show contributes to the success of this non- commercial cooperative space. Volunteers to gallery-sit and perform other duties are needed. Thank you for your support!
